According to the Wikipedia article for the Enlightenment proto-wiki, the Encyclopédie, the writers were trying "to change the way people think." Many articles in the modern Wikipedia clearly share this goal; trying to raise public consciousness through informing us of empirical facts. What are some good examples of this kind of politically or ideologically motivated article?
